Metal Sword LETTER OPENER Lion Head Pommel WWI German Officer Vintage Miniature

For Sale: Vintage Metal Letter Opener / Miniature Sword Rare old letter opener / tiny sword modeled after a WWI German Artillery Officer’s Sword. Curved blade with lion head pommel! It has a total length of about 7.5" and weighs 1 oz. The blade is fairly sharp. Damage: I believe this piece originally had a knuckle bow hand guard (curved piece running from the lion's mouth to the cross guard - search images of the officer sword to see what I mean) but it is broken off / missing. The sections where it broke off from have been smoothed down so you don't even know it's missing. There are lots of scratches and rust on both the blade and handle which can be seen in the provided close-up photos. Please see pictures for condition.
